Sri Vishnu Sahasranamaparayanam

Tirupati is considered to be the most divine place. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra has decided to organize "Sri Vishnu Sahasranama parayanam" in the evenings on full moon days. This programme was initiated on 10th Novemnber, 2011, full moon day of "Kartheeka" month. The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of lamp by Dr.B.Vengamma, Director, SVIMS at 5.15 p.m.

Dr.N.Satyanarayana Raju, Hon.Director & Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra, while elaborating the significance said that Tirumala is the abode of Yogis and Siddhas. It is believed that "Konkana Siddulu", one of the 18 Mahasiddhas, as mentioned in Tamil scriptures, attained salvation in Tirumala. Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya wrote many songs glorifying Tirumala as the "Golden Mountain". So, Tirumala reverberates with a divine golden energy.

In lieu to the objective of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams to make Tirupati a centre of spirituality, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati has decided to organize such programmes to support Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in their effort.

The Committee members of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra and the Vidyalaya, the students of S.V. Vedic University, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, members of ISKCON, denizens of the town, the staff, students and parents of the Vidyalaya participated in the programme.
