Kartheeka Gnanamrutham - 2010

The Bhavan's Tirupati Kendra organized Karthika Gnanamrutham a three day series of discourses on spiritualism from 15th November, 2010 to 18th November, 2010 for the fifth consecutive year.

On the First day, Saraswathi Putra Dr.Medasani Mohan, Director, Annamacharya Project, T.T.Devasthanams, Tirupati spoke on 'Gnana Yoga' . He explained the human quest for knowledge and the path to be taken to reach this divine goal using the illustration of Valmiki's transformation from a ruthless hunter to a noble sage.

The discourse on the Second day focussed on 'Mathru Bhakthi' by Sri Simhachala Sastry, Lecturer, S.V.Music and Dance College, Tirupati. Through numerous stories like Prahlada and Adi Sankara from our scriptures he explained the significance of love and compassion for the elderly, parents, teachers etc and especially the devotion to be shown towards the Mother.

The Third day's discourse was based on Katopanishad by Sri Samudrala Lakshmaniah , Former Special Officer, Ethihasa Project, Tiruma Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati. He compared the human body to a chariot and vividly described the story of Nachiketa as an inspiration for developing noble traits like will power and dedication.

The distinguished speakers were felicitated by Dr.N.Satyanarayana Raju, Hony.Director & Treasurer. Sri P.V.Krishna Reddy, Executive Vice Chairman, and Dr.P.Sudhakara Reddy, Hony.Secretary of Bhavan's Tirupati Kendra participated in the programme.
