Sravana Sangeetha Lahari 2006

On 20thAugust, 2006 a new concept of "Sravana Sangeetha Lahari" has been initiated by the Bhavan's Tirupati Kendra with a view of harmonizing the human revenrence and the nature. Our treasure of philosophy reventially affirms eternal bond with the nature. Adherence to the value incessantly flow down the centuries - might be occasionally adversely - in the interest of the living beings. Music is typically connected to the nature as its origin itself is considered as derived from 'Om' Kara nada, reverberated in the Nature. Thus, Sangeetha in Sravana, a month during monsoon bestows seeds for wealth and health to the contentment of people. Thecontented people follow righteous path thereby peace and prosperity prevails in the society. Further, the object of the programme is to inculcate awareness among the younger generation about our rich culture and heritage through the medium of Fine Arts.

The programme, in the newly built auditorium began with the Chief House Coordinator welcoming the dignitaries on to the dais. Sri. P.V. Krishna Reddy, Executive Vice Chairman, presided over the function. The other committee members graced the occasion.Shri A P V N Sarma, I A S., Hony.Chairman of Bhavan's Tirupati Kendra and the Executive Officer of T T Devastanams and Smt Durga Sarma inaugurated the event. Dr N Satyanarayana Raju, Hony Director of the Kendra welcomed the packed gathering. He proclaimed that the Kendra has decided to organize three major events every year in the name of " Vasantha Pravachanamrutham" - discourses on Indian Culture in March/April during Vasantha ritu, "Sravana Sangeetha Lahari" - a music concert in the month of Sravana during rainy season, and "Kartheeka Gnanamrutham", - spiritual discourses during the month of Karthika - November. He reminded the first programme, organized in April, this year.

Shri A P V N Sarma, applauded the resolution of the Kendra saying that the three chosen occasions with relevant themes complement our tradition and bring harmony with nature. He expressed his pleasure to be associated with the function and appreciated the efforts of the institution for providing a lot f scope for moral, emotional and cultural development besides promoting cultural values and upholding Indian Culture and wished success in all the endeavours.Shri P Rama Hanuman, Principal of the school explained in detail the significance of Music in the month of SRAVANA highlighting the elements of Indian music and the temperament of it.Shri P.V. Krishna Reddy, Executive Vice Chairman, presided over the function and announced the proposal of starting MBA course in the campus while expounding the prospects of the Kendra.Mrs K Hymavathi proposed the vote of thanks.

The much awaited entertainment programme began with a classical dance invoking Lord Ganesha, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. The fashion parade by the little angels of our Pre-School displaying impersonations varying from well known leaders, devotees, historical characters and social workers added to the spirit of the occasion.The classical music concert, by the students of classes IV to IX, was a tribute to our great musicians. The concert in Classical Music that included several compostions of our great saints Shri Thyagaraj, Sri Ramada, Purandaradas. The Krithis rendered by them enthralled the audience. It was then followed by skits in English and Hindi from the primary section.

The cultural programme concluded with a concert by the Tirupathi Sisters, Ms.Sreelatha and Ms.Madhavi. They presented some melodious classical songs including some Annamacharya Krithis.The festival ended with the vote of thanks proposed by the School Head Boy, Master Rusheel Reddy.
