Vasantha Pravachanamrutam 2011

Mahabharatha is known as the 'Panchama Veda' as it is the essence of all four Vedas. Each and every character in Mahabharatha shows the path of leading a successful life by making use of the four Purushardhas - Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha.

As a part of promoting Indian Culture and Heritage, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra organized a week long programme on the essence of Mahabharata from 8.4.2011 to 14.4.2011 at Thyagaraja Mandapam.

The programme was inaugurated on 8.4.2011 by the Chief Guest Dr.B.Vengamma, Director, SVIMS, Dr.Ramachandra N Galla, Chairman, Amararaja Group of Companies and Vice Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra presided over the inaugural function. Senior scholar of Tirupati Town, Pancha Sahasravadhani, Saraswathiputra Dr.Medasani Mohan, Director, Annamacharya Project, Tirupati, the speaker of the week-long programme was introduced to the gathering by Dr.N.Satyanarayana Raju.

While addreDr.Ramanachandra N Galla in his Presidential address appreciated the Chief Guest of the day as a self disciplined person who promoted Indian Culture.

Dr.B.Vengamma, the day's Chief Guest speaking on the occasion, expressed her pleasure for being a part of the programme. She appreciated the organisers for arranging such programmes that created awareness about ethics for the future generations.

Dr.Medasani Mohan gave an enlightening discourse on various 'PARVAS' (Adi, Sabha, Aranya, Virata, Udyoga) from Mahabharata and allured the audience with his mesmerizing messages.

Smt.M.Janaki, I.A.S., Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Tirupati was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory function. Sri P.V.Krishna Reddy, Executive Vice Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra presided over the function.

Sri P.V.Krishna Reddy, Vice Chairman, Bhavan's Tirupati Kendra, speaking on the occasion appreciated the services of Dr.N.Satyanarayana Raju, Hon.Director & Treasurer for making this event a grand success. He requested the audience to encourage youth and children to take part in such programmes.

The day's Chief Guest Smt.M.Janaki in her address acknowledged Dr.Medasani Mohan as a Senior scholar of Tirupati Town and appreciated Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan for organizing such programmes. She also supported the idea of extending such programmes to youth and children.
