Vasantha Pravachanamrutam 2012

Among the four Purusharthas i.e. Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha, it is Dharma that leads to Moksha which is the essence of Ramayana.

As a part of promoting Indian Culture and Heritage, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra, organized a week-long programme on "Sri Ramayana Vaibhavam" from 7th April to 13th April, 2012 at Thyagaraja Mandapam, Tirupati.

The speaker, Upanyasa Kalanidhi Acharya Kasireddy Venkata Reddy, Secretary, Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, T.T.D. was introduced to the gathering by Dr Alladi Mohan , Professor of Medicine, SVIMS, as a versatile personality, an Editor of many renowned magazines, author of nearly 120 books, an Orator par excellence and learned in the spiritual lore of India, with profound knowledge in Upanishads and the Gita. In his speech, he stated that Bhratiya Vidya Bhavan always strives to uphold Indian Culture and values and stressed on the need of such discourses which not only help in creating awareness about ethics but also enhance communicative skills by often quoting examples from Ramayana.

Dr N.Satyanarayana Raju, Hony.Director and Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, in his presidential address expounded Ramayana as the spiritual foundation for the Indian way of life and a practical guide for human life in modern times.

Sri Kasireddy Venkata Reddy, with his profound knowledge in the Epic, enriched the audience on Valmiki Ramayana. The conception, sage Viswamitra, Rama slaying the demons, story of Ganga, Ahalya and Rama winning Sita's hand potraying Rama as an ideal king, an ideal son and an ideal husband and bringing out the values like patience, forgiveness, truthfulness, renunciation and non anger.

Sri P.V.Krishna Reddy, Sri R.V.Jagga Rao, Prof N.Kamarajupantulu and other committee members graced the occasion.

The 7 Day spiritual discourses by Acharya Kasireddy Venkata Reddy, Secretary, Dharma Prachara Parishad, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati held from 7th April to 13th April, 2012 on the glory of Sri Ramayana, Sri Ramayana Vaibhavam was concluded on 13th April, 2012 at Thyagaraja Mandapam, Tirupati.

The Music concert with hymns on Lord Sri Rama and Sri Vishnu Sahasranama rendered by the Bhavan's staff enticed the devout audience.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr N.Satyanarayana Raju, Hony Director and Treasurer of Bhavan's Tirupati Kendra stated that Ramayana is a part and parcel of every individual's life in India. He appreciated Upanyasa Kalanidhi Acharya Kasireddy Venkata Reddy for enlightening the public on how to comprehend and perceive Ramayana and its relevance to present day.

In his discourse on Uttara Kanda, the speaker highlighted on the conclusion of the Epic. The Ramayana and the need to imbibe Social, Ethical, Cultural and Spiritual values by young and old for better life and suggested that the adherence to Dharma offered solutions to all problems in life.

He also praised the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan for organizing such novel programmes.

Dr.N.Satyanarayana Raju, Bhavan's Director in his welcome address stated that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan provides a lot of scope for promoting Cultural Values and Sanathana Dharma and will continue to organize such programmes which bring awareness among the future generations. He encouraged the audience to take part in such gathering.

Sri Singaraju Sachidanamdam, Rtd. Lecturer of Telugu from S.V.Arts College, Tirupati and a scholar released the books titled Sri Rama Satakam authored by Acharya Kasireddy Venkata Reddy. He was in all praise for the speaker for his vivid discourses on various episodes in the epic The Ramayana.

As a part of the felicitations, Acharya Kasireddy Venkata Reddy was honoured by the Bhavan's Executive Vice Chairman Sri P.V.Krishna Reddy, Director Dr.N.Satyanarayana Raju, Sri C.Kailash, President, All India Pranic Healing Association, Dr.Alladi Mohan, SVIMS, Sri R.V.Jagga Rao and other members of Bhavan in the midst of staff and Tirupati denizens.
